Angus was admitted as a solicitor in 1993, called to the Bar in 2001, and took silk in 2023.

He is an experienced advocate with a long history in complex, high profile criminal matters throughout Queensland and occasionally New South Wales. He appears regularly in all types of criminal matters in the higher courts, including the Court of Appeal.

Angus contributes to the Queensland Criminal Bar community as a mentor, presenting papers and speaking at conferences and seminars, and through his pro bono and tribunal work. He appears regularly in the peer nominated Doyle’s Guide as a leader in his field.
