Steven has been running criminal trials for more than 7 years. His experience includes conducting over 60 jury trials involving a range of offences including, offences of violence and kidnapping, sexual offences, property and dishonesty offences, drug offences and dangerous driving offences. He has appeared on 8 appeals in the Court of Appeal, multiple homicide committals, and hundreds of sentences and bail applications.

Steven started working at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in 2008, reaching the position of Principal Crown Prosecutor before moving to the private bar in 2024.
